The main objective of ‘Sanskaram’ is
to facilitate and empower the children to ‘imbibe
human values in their subconscious’ by
themselves during their formative years through
the process of Sanskar, so that adherence
to human values becomes an integral part
of their nature. This objective cannot be
fulfilled merely by teaching or preaching
or delivering class room lectures. Therefore
a methodology based on the process of Sanskar
has to be adopted, being the only proven
method since ancient ages. As far as the
psychology of children is concerned, the
methodology for imbibing human values would
be successful if :
a. The environment provided to children
is joyful, healthy, holistic & nature
friendly.
b. There is a mentor akin to Ancient
Guru who is the follower of human values
and has the ability to become role model
for children and can inspire them.
c. The children revere the guru
and there is intensity in guru-shishya
bonding.
d. There is variety in the value rich programmes/activities
which children can enjoy. Such programmes/activities
be used as tools which may enable children
to ‘ imbibe human values in their
subconscious’.
e. The programmes/activities take care
of various factors i.e. age groups, aptitude,
ability of the children and culture & traditions
of the region.
In view of the above aspects and the process
of Sanskar, ‘Sanskaram’ has
developed & devised
a unique methodology by taking the sutra(s)
from old scriptures, the methods followed
by the Ancient Guru(s) and by blending these
with modern technology and scientific methods,
Play way method, Demonstration method, Experimental
method and other Innovative methods invented
and designed by psychologists, scientists,
experts and Intellectuals to suit the present
social conditions.. In this methodology,
there will
be No teaching, No preaching and No instructions.
The emphasis will be on providing holistic
environment and value
loaded programmes and activities, rich in
entertainment to the children so that negative
tendencies are eradicated and human values
are instilled in their subconscious, unconsciously.
To execute and give practical shape to this
methodology, ‘Sanskaram’ has
planned to create institutions called Sanskar Vatika(s)
for providing joyful, holistic, nature-friendly & value-rich
environment to children, Training Institute(s)
called ‘Sanskar Peetham(s)’ for
recruitment & training
of mentors called Sanskar Guru(s),
Production & Publication
Centre(s) called Sanskar Prakashika(s)
for designing, developing & producing
the Innovative value-rich programms & tools
and backup centre(s) called Sanskar
Matham(s) for managing & monitoring the vatika(s)
and providing programme material, resources
and artists/experts to vatika(s).
A unique
concept of Sanskar Guru(s), who would act
as Friend, Facilitator and Mentor for the children, has been introduced.
The prime duty of sanskar-guru is to empower & inspire
the children to imbibe human values through
the process of ‘Sanskar’. The
Sanskar Guru(s) themselves would be true
followers of human values; believe in “simple
living and high thinking”; would
work with missionary zeal and would enjoy
working with young children. They would
be lively, energetic, creative and innovative.
The conduct & behavior of Sanskar-guru(s)
would be such that they could become Role Models for
children and inspire them through their
conduct, behaviour and
multidimensional personality, as children
imitate the actions of their parents, family
elders, peers and Guru(s) whom they revere.
Each Sanskar Guru would remain associated
with them till they attain the age of 10
years
